Most of us have a plan for something. A plan for dinner or a plan for a summer vacation or a plan for the weekend, etc. Planning ahead helps life run a little smoother. Some things we can’t necessarily plan for that come at us unexpectedly. One thing is for certain, and I have to ask: do you have a plan in place for after you pass on?

There is a lot of talk about preneed funeral products. These products are typically expensive and not everybody can afford them. Most people simply just want to know that all of their wishes will be carried out—maybe a particular hymn or what clothes they will wear if they want an open casket or a favorite scripture or poem. They also want to trust that arrangements have been made to cover the cost of their end-of-life expenses.

One common frustration of funeral directors is meeting with a large family with members all voicing what they believe their loved one desired for their service, and everyone has a different opinion. Sadly, often there isn’t any money to pay for their services. What a predicament!

Fortunately, we are here to help. You as an insurance professional can take care of both of these issues by providing people with one of our Memorial Planning Guides.

All of the information needed for a funeral director to prepare an obituary and plan a service is included in this guide without them having to rely on family members trying to answer a bunch of questions during their grieving process. The guide tackles questions such as names of pallbearers, people to contact, does the deceased prefer cremation or a traditional service, did they serve in the military, etc. All of this vital information can be easily planned out in this very valuable document.

Once complete, people can then rely on you to help them with the insurance coverage they need to cover their preferences.

This is an invaluable tool you can provide to current policyholders. It can also be an excellent prospecting tool. I can guarantee you that your competition is not doing this. Make this guide work for you! Find them in the Viper Agent Portal.

Good luck, and thanks for all you do!
